Itinerary

Arrive in Leh and transfer to your hotel/guesthouse. Spend the day resting and allowing your body to acclimatize to the high altitude. In the evening, explore Leh’s vibrant local market and enjoy views of the surrounding mountains.

A day dedicated to acclimatization. Visit key attractions such as Shey Palace, Thiksey Monastery, and Shanti Stupa. Return to Leh for an overnight stay.

Drive through scenic valleys along the Indus River to reach Chilling. Cross the Zanskar River via a cable bridge and start your trek to Skiu. The trail is a gentle walk through barren yet beautiful landscapes. Overnight stay at Skiu village.

Walk alongside the Markha River, crossing wooden bridges and passing through traditional Ladakhi villages. The trail offers lush fields contrasting against stark mountain cliffs. Reach Markha village and stay in a homestay/camp.

Cross pastures, mani walls, and monasteries as you move deeper into the valley. Ancient ruins and views of Kang Yatse peak make the trail spectacular. Overnight stay at Hankar.

A gradual but steady climb takes you to the vast meadows of Nimaling, one of the most beautiful camping sites in Ladakh. Surrounded by towering peaks and grazing yaks, the view of Kang Yatse dominates the horizon.

The most adventurous day of the trek. Ascend to Kongmaru La Pass (5,200m), the highest point of the trek, and witness panoramic views of the Zanskar and Karakoram ranges. Descend to Chokdo, from where you’ll drive back to Leh.

After breakfast, bid farewell to the beautiful land of Ladakh and leave with memories of your adventure in Markha Valley.
